The CHSP or Commonwealth Home Support Program.is aimed to assist Senior Australians aged 65 plus and 50 plus ATSI to continue living in the well-loved familiarity and comfort of their own homes, whilst they still enjoy being a part of their local community and neighbourhood.
Quality support and compassionate care offered through this program enables older Australians to live in the comfort and well-loved familiarity of their own homes, with support to enable them to live well and safely.
Practical Support in Many Combinations
The Commonwealth Home Support Program offers a wide selection of practical support in the form of the following areas:
- Help with preparing meals at home (or arranging Meals on Wheels)
This will provide you with nutritious options to make mealtime a winner in the comfort of your own home.
- Transport for shopping and appointments
We will help you to get to your doctor’s appointment on time and you can count on us to support you with getting that shop done and even help you to unpack everything upon arriving home.
- Household tasks
You can count on an extra pair of hands to help with the mopping, dusting, washing, ironing and vacuuming so that your home environment is a pleasant and well-managed one.
- Personal care includes showering, shaving, dressing and general grooming.

- Yard maintenance
Sometimes older people require a more complex combination of services and care. They may be eligible for the Australian Government’s range of Home Care Packages from Levels 1 to 4 – the higher the package the more support provided.
